About bmw i7 ev

The BMW i7 is the flagship of the all-electric 7 Series. It delivers next-level driving innovation, a library-quiet interior, and a suite of cutting-edge tech features that transform each drive into an executive lounge.

It’s bmw i7 ev one of the most spacious electric cars you can buy, with plenty of head and legroom for rear seat passengers and a large opening for luggage in the trunk. Plus, our test model included BMW’s Highway Assistant hands-free driving system that allows you to drive the car at speeds up to 80 mph on select roads.

BMW i7 EV: Luxury Meets Electric Innovation

Like all BMW i models, the i7 uses BMW’s fifth-generation battery-electric powertrain. This combines two electric motors to provide a combined 356 horsepower and 549 pound-feet of torque. It can scoot to 60 mph in less than 4.5 seconds and is capable of a 195-kW DC fast charge, allowing it to return as much as 80 miles of range in just 34 minutes.

The i7’s relatively thin high-voltage battery pack is under the floor, so it doesn’t intrude on rear-seat space like you’ll find in competitors such as the Mercedes EQS or Lucid Air. It also has adaptive recuperation that scavenges energy during braking, taking factors such as downhill sections and traffic light information into account to improve efficiency.

Inside, the i7 is as tech-forward as it is luxurious, with two screens—one for the instrument cluster and one for the infotainment system—and a wide steering wheel that’s canted toward the driver. Our test model also included a Bowers & Wilkins sound system and four-zone climate control. And you can add a lot of extra gadgets to your i7 if you choose, including a self-parking feature and augmented reality navigation.
