Conservatory Insulation

conservatory insulation

Insulating your conservatory is a good way to keep the warm air in and the cold air out during the winter. The most effective insulation is made from materials that make it difficult for heat to move from one part of the room to another. For example, insulating a conservatory with thick walls can prevent the hot air from escaping and keep the room cooler than it would otherwise be.

Some conservatory roofs are made of polycarbonate, which is a good option for light, but not very effective at preventing cold air from escaping. It also doesn’t look very attractive. Therefore, it is recommended to have a new conservatory roof fitted by a professional company to ensure a long lasting solution.

The cost of conservatory insulation will depend on the size of the conservatory and the quality of the materials. Plasterboards and plaster bags will cost around PS6 – PS8 each. Foil insulation will cost around PS27 – PS60. You’ll also need a staple gun and self-drilling UPVC screws.

Another common method of conservatory insulation is to install tiles. This type of insulation is heavier than other types of insulation, and the framework of the conservatory must be strong enough to support it. If it is not, you can use tiled roofing, which will add to the overall weight of the conservatory.
